Had a great dish tonite for dinner: steamed shrimps! The shrimp was still alive when I bought them so they were extra tasy. I just steamed them with a little rice wine, ginger, scallions and garlic and served it with a warm soy dipping sauce with fresh green sereno chili and shredded scallions. DELICIOUS!!!!!
Oh those look yummy. I just had dumplings, although I didn't make them from scratch, I bought a frozen bag of pillow top pork dumplings at the local Chinese market & steamed up in a bamboo steamer for about 10 min or so, I made a dipping sauce from ponzu, cilantro & green chili peppers, good stuff! I'll have to learn to make them from scratch, but in the meantime the frozen ones are fast, convenient & really good.
ReplyDeleteYou should try them freshly made...it is definitely a big difference. That is why it's important to collect as many recipe as you can get from mom and grandma. Some things you just can't buy.
ReplyDeleteYep, maybe you have a good dumpling recipe you can share. (hint hint)
